Our annual Mother's Day photo. We celebrate GiGi with breakfast at Hy-Vee. It wasn't anything fancy, but we try and celebrate her everyday, so it didn't need to be too elaborate.
Hairball! Our first concert of the season was Nitefall on the River featuring Hairball. Hairball is a crazy fun cover band. They impersonate all of Jon's favorite hairbands - Bon Jovi, Kiss, Prince, Motley Crew, etc. You can imagine the people watching! It was a perfect night for an outdoor concert and a perfect opportunity to spend time with good friends and family.

The Nelsons hosted dinner club in June and had some extra guests - baby birds! Miss Ella loved showing Mazzie her special friends.
